About the Programme

B. Tech. (Mining Engineering) is a 4-year (3 years for lateral entry) undergraduate course that is a branch of engineering that deals with the theory, science, application, and technology of processing and extracting resources from the natural environment. As a mining engineer, you will find yourself surrounded by Geologists and Metallurgical Engineers to find new mineral deposits. Mining engineers will also be involved in developing equipment that is used for mining process and removing the minerals from rock and dirt.

Eligibility

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational subjects.

Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Students having CUET Score will be given preference in merit.

For Lateral Entry

Passed Diploma examination with at least 50% marks in any branch of Engineering and Technology.
Or
Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.

For Migration from Other Universities:

  1. B.E./B.Tech Ist year minimum 50% marks or equivalent
  2. 50% PCM or above at XII level.
