The Welfare Department (Gov. of Jharkhand) is running various schemes for the welfare of the backward classes and the SC/ST. A step towards achieve speedy, transparent & accountable governance. The system links all welfare departments, treasury, databases of Secondary Schools Certificate (SSC), colleges and banks to disburse scholarships. Processing of students’ applications for scholarships, sanctioning and passing of bills for disbursement are enabled in the system.

Every scholarship has its own set of eligibility criteria that students need to fulfill and be eligible to apply for the scholarship opportunity. One of the key criteria that are applicable for eKalyan, ( Govt of Jharkhand ) scholarships is to be a permanent resident of Jharkhand. Correct knowledge of many other aspects like academic qualifications, family income limit, aadhaar number, bank account etc.. leads to the successful application of scholarships. Know the detailed eligibility criteria before applying online.
Students are not required to provide their bank account details like bank account number, IFSC code in the Post Matric application form. Scholarship amount will be automatically transferred to Aadhaar linked bank account number through ABPS.
